Living in the digital age has revolutionized almost all human activities and opened so many possibilities in the virtual reality. Even the leisure activities of children that were once filled with physical human interactions were not spared. Gone are the days where a child would yearn for a playmate more than a play-toy.
Today, playmates have been replaced by kids video games. Although the advantages and disadvantages of video games have been on the debate table since time immemorial, the virtual and digital culture is something that is inevitable. It is thus advised that parents be more vigilant in regulating the time their children spend in any kind of activity to ensure that they are developing in various areas of their lives.
