In 1962, an auto racing card game was launched whose object is for each team of two players to be the first to complete a series of 1,000-mile trips. It was called Mille Bornes, the French word for milestones. Each player is given a hand of six cards and picks more in turn from a central pile. Cards called Distance, Hazard, Remedy, and Safety determine the course of play.

Earn mileage points, overcome traffic hazards and sabotage your opponents as you race cross-country through France. Once you have played 1,000 miles of cards, you win the game. The cards are poker-sized which can be played by 2 to 6 friends. Each set includes large and convenient score sheets and an easy-to-understand rules booklet.
