wooden toy chest

If you teach your child to keep their things after playing with them, you will never have to scold or nag them to keep their room clean. Turn these chores into a fun game and children will actually enjoy doing them. Even very young children can be tricked into cleaning up if you introduce games such as trying to shoot them into a container or counting as they pick up the toys. If this is done consistently, it will become a habit. In due time, the child will do it even without being told.

Having shelves for books and containers for toy cars and Lego’s will ensure that everything is in place. A wooden toy chest can be a catch-all for stuffed toys and other playthings. Choose a contemporary design that will blend with the other furniture in the room. One with a sturdy flat top cover can be used as a play table or a sitting area. Choose a design with a finger safe close lid.
