Stuffed animals are notorious for gathering dust and dirt. It can get so bad that a dirty toy can be cause for allergy in children. Since your child’s health is important and it will be close to impossible to get him to part with his best friend, all you can do is look for ways to keep it clean. Here are a couple of suggestions:~Make it a habit to shake out the stuffed toy every time you clean the room. Make sure you have a regular cleaning schedule.~If you think that it needs some extra cleaning, place it in a paper bag with baking soda in it; shake the bag vigorously. This will eliminate oils. Alternatively, you can stuff it in a cloth bag and put it in the washer on gentle cycle.~Washing will clean out dirt and grime but it will also help if you avoid bringing your stuffed toys outside the house.
