It is very common for children to have in their possession certain items that they feel helps build their confidence and a sense of security. For some, it is their blanket, for others it can be their favorite toy or book. Most commonly, teddy bears or plush bear (in French ours en peluche). Plush (from the French word peluche) consists of different materials like mohair, yarn, silk, cotton, and more commonly now, polyester. Plush is one of the main materials used for the manufacturing of stuffed toys or designer toys.

Although, in the market right now, different types of stuffed animals abound, the most purchased and still favorite is the Plush bear. It comes in various colors and sizes, from brown to white, to pink and red, from 2 inch sizes to teddy bears as big as a grown up. There are bears that look like clowns, dressed up like ballerinas, doctors, ship captain. The choices are infinite and styles never ending. But we always go back to that favorite brown, huggable teddy bear that kids like to sleep in bed with.
