The teddy bear, with its chubby body and outstretched arms has been a symbol of comfort for kids. Physically, they are easy to hug. They seem to hug back. The color is nothing fancy. Brown, the color of earth was the original color of teddy bears. Of course, they have come up with fancy ones.
Teddy bears have entertained children for years. The image of a child pulling a bear with one hand while the other hand hold’s on to a parent’s hand has become a universal representation of love and dependence. But modern society will not leave it at that. They have found other uses of the teddy bear. Just like memory bears made from personal things of a departed beloved or a microwavable teddy bear that comforts a bothered child on a chilly night.
