Animal hand puppets are favorites of children. They love teddy bear puppets because they are familiar with the story of Goldilocks and the famous bears. It is easy for them to tell the story; they have memorized the lines of Papa Bear and can relate to the Baby Bear. Teddy bear puppets may be bought in stores. However, it will be more fun for the children if they can make their own teddy bear puppets.

Hand puppet projects can be made out of simple materials such as paper bags or old socks. Patterns may be downloaded from the internet. These can be made from fabrics and made with simple stitching. Hand puppets may also be knitted out of yarn. This will require help from an adult who knows how to knit.
