Edger grip tape

Grip tape is a friction-surfaced material with adhesive backing that is normally attached to the deck of a skateboard to provide the rider more friction to control the board. As it is available in various colors, grip tape is sometimes used decoratively. It comes in the form of rough sheets similar to adhesive-backed sandpaper.

The grade and size of grit depends on company and manufacturing methods. Edger grip tape comes in harder, larger stones for better traction. It is best for decks designed for pools, parks, pipes, slalom, and downhill. It is not intended for street style decks.
