Any type of activity comes with its own hazards. Games and sports are just some of them. When it comes to skateboarding, it is very important to keep several safety tips in mind to ensure that you avoid accidents as much as possible:

  • Always wear safety gear like knee pads, elbow pads and a Protec helmet in case you fall.
  • Never ride your skateboard in the street. Keep to the sidewalks and parks where there is no vehicular traffic.
  • Avoid dangerous stunts like riding along someone else’s skateboard, doing complicated tricks without taking precautions, and grabbing onto a moving car, truck, bus or bike.
  • Learn how to fall correctly to reduce your chances of being seriously injured. If you are about to fall, relax your body and try to land on the fleshy parts of your body. Don’t absorb the force with your arms.
