Skateboarding is a sport that has gained popularity among young and old alike. Riders wear shoes that are designed for use in skateboarding. The design of the skate shoe include many features which invariably include a flat sole made of polyurethane or rubber, a suede or composition leather, and double or triple stitching.

Many characteristics of a skate shoe are intended to increase its durability since skate shoes are always in contact with the roughness of a skateboard’s grip tape. Skaters tend to go through shoes fast which is why they have to buy pairs that will last as long as possible. Action leather, super suede, and plastic underlying the toe cap help increase a skate shoe’s life.
