Another common term for inline skates is the Rollerblade. This refers to the brand of youth inline skates that were all the rage at the height of its popularity. Inline skates for children and adults come is different styles. There are skates specifically designed for women and aggressive speed skates for men. The number of wheel attachments varies. Consequently, there are differences in speed and flexibility.

When taking up the sport, it is important to equip yourself with accessories like knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, helmets, and padded shorts. Remember that falls are inevitable so put on ankle and shin guards. Read up on the sport and be knowledgeable of what is available to ensure protection. The internet will be a good source for this. Most important is getting proper training.
