Make your puppet show more engaging for your audience. Aside from hanging an attractive backdrop, make use of props to tell the story better. Some puppeteers use strips of Velcro and on the puppet’s hands so they can easily pick up a puppet prop that has the half part of the Velcro stuck or sewn on it. Some props can also be mounted on tips of stiff wires.
Among the many types of puppets, the hand or glove puppets are the most popular. These have a hollow cloth body that fits over the puppeteers’ hands. The figure is seen from the waist up since they normally have no legs. The virtue of a hand puppet lies in its agility and quickness. It is easily manipulated around the stage.
