The world of commercial playground equipment has grown immensely in the past decade. Gone are the days of playgrounds with one or two slides, something to spin on, and a simple jungle gym. Modern commercial playground equipment are made of a dizzying array of materials, comes in hundreds of shapes and colors, and provides every sort of stimulus available. Most modern playgrounds also offer a variety of toddler outdoor toys for the little ones to enjoy themselves with.
Most commercial playground equipment were used to be made out of either metal or wood. Nowadays, plastic is the material of choice when it comes to commercial playground toys and equipment. Not only are plastics softer, but they are also easier to install and come in a wide variety of colors. Plastic playground equipment results in fewer injuries and can captivate children’s visual senses while at the same time providing much needed physical entertainment.
