Why We Love Blocks and Puzzles

I am very particular about the toys and games that my kids play with. Since they were babies, I always make it a point to buy educational toys that don’t require any batteries to run. That is why my children’s favorite playthings are building blocks and puzzles. These toys provide lots of benefits:
- They help improve problem solving and reasoning skills as well as increase their visual spatial awareness
- They improve fine motor skills which are needed for writing when a child finally enters school
- They enhance eye-hand coordination through trial and error processes
- They foster creative and cooperative play which improves a child’s social skills
