A doll house is a toy house made in miniature. It has all the rooms a normal house would, except it would be so small that only dolls and miniature figures can fit in it. For centuries, these have been primarily for use of children, but the collection and crafting is done by the adults. Wooden doll houses, which are the most common, are typically made of plywood and fiberglass board.
Doll houses have different scales. A typical children’s doll house would be 1:18 or two third inch scale. Some use 1:16, or the ¾-inch scale. Adults who collect these doll houses usually go for 1:12, or the 1-inch scale. There are also smaller sizes, like the 1:24 or the half-inch scale.
