Deepen a Child’s Imagination while at Play

Through play, children learn about ways to relate with people and the environment around them. It is also a way for them to express themselves. With a doll house, for example, they mimic what they see their mothers doing in their home. They endeavor to rearrange doll house furniture, inspired by the arrangement of furniture in their home. They set up little gardens if they see this around their homes.

It is important to provide doll house parts that will encourage children to express their imagination. With miniature furniture they can create different versions of home decorating. With mini cookware pieces, they will go through the motions of cooking a meal. You cannot imagine the fun that children have playing with doll house furnishings especially when they are playing with other children. This should be encouraged and grownups can peep in from time to time to make suggestions that will deepen their imagination.
