doll house furniture

My daughter spends hours playing with her dolls. She moves her doll house furniture around. Her doll’s living room set consisting of a sofa and two side chairs are placed in one corner of the living room. She lets her dolls sit for a while and then she brings to the kitchen where they cook a meal using her tiny cooking pots and pans. They have lunch on the dining table with toy plates filled with plastic pasta.

Playing with doll house furniture starts the kid on her journey towards setting up her own home in the future. Without her knowing it, she is making decisions on furniture arrangements and choice of colors. She is starting to understand the normal activities in a household. In due time she will start helping around the house. It will be a stepping stone when training for the actual housekeeping when she grows up.
