Rocking horses are rocking toys designed for small children that will make us reminisce of simpler times. These rocking toys are simply small, sturdy toy horses that are big enough for a child to sit on, as if riding a real horse. Most rocking horses are made to resemble an actual horse, but along the bottom, attached to the hooves, are curved bow rockers similar to those found in a rocking chair. The Radio Flyer rocking horse is a modern version of the rocking horse that comes in different styles.

One of their most popular designs is the Radio Flyer Liberty Spring Horse. This beautiful classic spring horse features a real yarn mane and tail. It is excellently sculpted with great attention to detail which makes it very attractive and realistic. It has a sturdy steel frame that is extra wide to prevent tipping. The springs are covered with thick, removable fabric wraps to prevent finger pinching, with built-in safety spring straps for added security. This rocking horse will definitely put your child in the driver’s seat of his or her imagination.

I was inside the mall yesterday to find the perfect gift for my niece who is about to turn three years old. I was having a hard time choosing her gift because she practically has every toy and clothes she wanted and needed already. She’s an only child so, go figure. Aside from that, I also wanted my gift to be unique and be sure that I’m going to be the only one to gift that gift to her.

As I browsed various items, my friend called me and said that there’s a sale on-going at one of the specialty kid shops in our neighbourhood. I rushed to go there and true enough, that’s where I bought my gift. It was a pink plush rocking horse. I instantly loved it because it was safe, comfortable and really very cute! I can’t wait to give her this cute thing on her birthday next week!

Rocking horses are riding toys for small children that remind us of the simple times. These are small, sturdy toy horses that are big enough for a child to sit on, just like a real horse. The Radio Flyer Spring Horse is an example of a rocking horse that is designed in the shape of an actual horse, complete with head, back, legs, and tail. This type of rocking horse is equipped with a spring to simulate the motion of riding a real horse.

Most rocking horses are designed with curved bow rockers similar to that found on a rocking chair. This style is actually known as the Victorian rocker. When a child sits on the horse’s back, a back and forth bodily movement will allow the child to rock to and fro. Foot straps, foot rests or stirrups provide the child with a place to put his feet while there are often handles protruding from the sides of the horse’s head for the child to grasp with his hands.

You loved sitting in it, gently rocking it while going through the motions of putting a stuffed bear to sleep. You sat in your rocking chair when you were happy. You sat in it when you were sad.

Now, you want your child to have the same memories. Fortunately, there is quite a selection available. They come in all colors and styles. You can get them in traditional spindle design in cherry finish. This style reminds of a charming bygone era. They also come beautifully hand painted in refreshing colors that bring visions of a magic garden with butterflies flying about.

Another never dying toy is the rocking horse. These wooden horses that children used to ride on are still very much around. They are also commonly used now as decorative items.

The rocking horse has lived on in various guises. There are now white and pink rockers for little girls. There are the traditional brown horses with sound effects. They come complete with adjustable stirrups and reins and the seats are padded for the child’s comfort. Old antique wooden horses are being collected and used to decorate homes.

Because of the need for both parents to work in this cash strapped times, parents are often forced to enroll their children in day care centers. These facilities are designed with care by architects, landscape experts and interior decorators who understand the needs of children. The parents are confident that their children will be safe, happy and well taken care of. They even come home singing a new song or repeating fantasy stories. Day cares are a boon to busy parents.

Children in daycare centers are grouped into age brackets. The toddlers play with stuffed toys or blocks. The older children are more mobile. They are allowed to go to a playroom where they can ride a wooden rocking horse, play with a doll house or climb the play loft. They are supervised by caring and well trained staff.
