I have always enjoyed playing with remote controlled vehicles even as a child. Now that I am all grown up, I still enjoy playing these vehicles, specially with the new models that are now available. There is even the added convenience of ordering these toys online through the Internet. One of the new models that I ordered is the Axial Scorpion AX10 1/10 Racer/Crawler RTR. It will definitely go to places other vehicles can’t.

The chassis wheelbase is approximately 304mm-320mm, while the height is 156mm with the width at 254mm and the weight being 1588g. The articulation is 70 degrees while the ground clearance measures 79mm. The body’s length is 438mm, while the width is 181mm and the height at 133mm. It requires a 7.2V Stick Pack Battery and a 6-Cell Peak or Timed Charger. It also needs 8 “AA” Alkalines for the Transmitter.

When I was a child, I used to love playing with remote controlled cars. I still remember my first remote controlled car which was given to me as a Christmas present. Now that I am a little bit older, I still enjoy playing with remote controlled vehicles and my favorite right now is the RC Crawler. I specifically like the Redcat RC Rock Crawlers that were specifically designed to manage and maneuver rock piles.

These rock crawlers definitely won’t break any speed records, but they can climb very well and can go where no ordinary RC car can go. They have electric motors for each axle, and the controller provides 4 way steering choices, front wheel only, rear wheel only, front and rear alike and front and rear opposing. All the axles have independent suspension and can pivot about 90 degrees making it the most versatile RC vehicle you’ll ever find.

What can you do with only $100 in your pocket? Yes, I’m sure you can think of a lot of things you can buy like food and some cheap clothes or maybe you can take your girlfriend for a date at a fancier place. Will you believe me that you can do much more with only $100 in your pocket?

Tatsuro Watanabe and a partner with only $100 each in their pockets invested and founded HPI in 1986. HPI or Hobby Products International is a manufacturer on on- and off-road radio-controlled electric and nitromethane powered cars. They started out with only a small office (300sqft) in Costa Mesa California and the Uno series but by the end of 1986, they have opened another office in Japan. Their business continued to grow and more engineers were hired to make better units. Today, the company has gone through many changes, merges and achievements. It is now located in Foothill Ranch California in a 45,000sqft facility and is proudly recognized as the proponent for RC racing today. They have actually just released their latest product called the HPI Crawler King and many have raved about the unit and its amazing performance! That is what you can do with $100 in your pocket, a lot of patience and ingenuity!

Transmitters range from single-function simple controllers to full-function controllers with a wide range of options. Younger children will be happy with toys that go forward and backward. The toy goes forward when a button is pressed and backward when it is released. These toys have a very low danger levels.

RC trucks with a full function controller can go forward or backward, forward and left, forward and right, reverse and left and reverse and right. It is not just about pressing and releasing buttons; it is about joysticks to elicit a more precise response. The only hitch is that they are produced with non-standard parts. Some components are irreplaceable. This makes repair impossible. When this happens, there is no choice but the junk the piece.

I have the distinct privilege of being mom to both a son and a daughter. There’s no question that I love my children equally. However, I find it much easier to connect with my daughter, due to the obvious fact that we’re both girls. My son on the other hand likes to do different things than my daughter and I do. Definitely he doesn’t like to get his nails done, go shopping, or do crafts. Although as his mom I want to be sure to grab as many bonding moments with him as I do with my daughter. One activity that helped us to bond together is playing with Traxxas RC trucks.

Playing Traxxas RC trucks with my son makes me feel that my son and I are finally sharing one thing in common. Good thing my son loves to collect them too. This is where I realized that shopping for Traxxas RC trucks is a fun activity that we can enjoy doing together as well.

When I was growing up I can say that I was able to enjoy most of the toys that have become trends then and some until now. Like those diecast cars for instance. I had a big collection of them. I loved it so much that my uncles and aunts would send me different kinds of diecast for my birthdays. When I got a little older, my dad got me a radio control truck. It was a big semi truck that had its lights blaring all the time. This is when I started my fascination with radio control trucks.

Now that I’m a parent of my own, I want my son to have his own radio control truck. Although he’s just a little pass one year of age and I am already going to the toy stores looking for a radio control truck for him. I found one that’s bigger than him and it stands around two and half feet and about 3 feet in length. He can even sit inside the truck while I control it with the RC. When we tried it out, it seems I was enjoying it more than he does.

One of the most popular types of radio control trucks is the off-road buggy. It combines big, spiked, heavy duty tires, durable full-travel suspension parts and a very generous ground clearance. The off-road buggy can take on all types of rough terrain. You and your son can chose from two-wheel or four-wheel drive to get started on revving up your engines.
