My husband’s sister, Mary, is one of the most generous people that I know. She’s very talented and you can clearly see what a good person she is. She always aims to please but never tolerates abuse. She probably has the best shoulders you can lean on but you have to line up to get to them because everyone knows it. She has quite a number of friends who value her opinion, way of life, and trusts her completely.

The only thing that worries my husband is that Mary doesn’t seem to have any plans of marrying. In fact, he even asked her one time whether she wanted to be an old maid. Mary simply answered that if she were to become an old maid then so be it but she is not going to marry someone just because she is afraid to be alone. She wants to marry someone for all the right reasons and nothing more. This is Mary. She would never settle for less. So, since she doesn’t have any children of her own either, she decided to turn her home into a day care center. She’s having the best time of her life she says specially when she’s playing with kids with their outdoor toys. Her business is booming since a lot of people trust her. Recently, Mary has been talking nonstop about one of the uncles that come to pick up his niece everyday. Apparently, he tries to take care of his niece as much as possible since her parents are away most of the time. Maybe, there’s another chapter to add in Mary’s life.

More and more children are being couch potatoes. This is mainly due to TV and video games. Look at them, most are too pale and they have the bodies of unhealthy middle age adults. That’s why I’m thankful for my parents who instilled the love of the outdoors in me. Even as kids, my parents would take my brothers and sisters to the park and play with kids outdoor toys.

Luckily for me, the park near us has lots of cool kids outdoor toys. My favorite is the swing set. It even has a boot camp obstacle course designed specifically for kids.
