Don’t let the many choices in game consoles these days hold your kids indoors in front of the TV all the time. Your kids will have fun while getting their much needed exercise.

Have some father and son bonding times over toys made just for boys. If you have been wanting to own a monster truck in real life but can’t afford it, check out radio control trucks instead. These are rugged and tough when it comes to great off road performance.
One of the most popular types of radio control trucks is the off-road buggy. It combines big, spiked, heavy duty tires, durable full-travel suspension parts and a very generous ground clearance. The off-road buggy can take on all types of rough terrain. You and your son can chose from two-wheel or four-wheel drive to get started on revving up your engines.

For decades, roller skates have been popular with active kids and adults alike. These wheeled contraptions are used not only on the streets and in roller rinks but also in sports competitions. Many improvements have already been made to the early roller skates and the current models are now excellent to use both in indoor and outdoor facilities as well as on sidewalks and parking lots.
An adjustable roller skate is intended for use with conventional shoes. These roller skates are sometimes referred to as slip-ons. Conventionally, they include a sole support plate or piece, the undersides of which have secured pairs of roller wheels. This support piece enables skaters to accommodate a variety of shoe sizes.

Being a swimmer, I train a lot. One time a preschool teacher saw me swimming and asked me if I can teach swimming to kids. That’s how I became a teacher. I gave it a try for the summer then I realized that I loved teaching kids. After two years of teaching swimming, the school asked me to make a sports program for the preschoolers. I had to scout around for childrens playground equipment.
The sports program I envisioned was to teach kids balance and coordination as well as how to climb properly and rolling. The children’s playground equipment I purchased were dome monkey bars, a trampoline, and a balancing bar. When I started I had 5 kids ages 3 to 5 years old. After 3 weeks, you can notice a great improvement in the balance and coordination of the kids. They no longer looked awkward when they walk or run. They became graceful and athletic.

I have three daughters. Their ages are seven, five and three. They all love Dora the explorer. I love her too. Dora speaks Spanish and she sings the coolest songs. My daughters all watch Dora on TV every morning. For their birthdays, each of them asked for Dora the explorer toys. It started with my eldest, as soon as her younger sisters saw her Dora toys, they wanted their own as well.
It wasn’t that hard to look for Dora the explorer toys, they were everywhere! For my eldest since she loved watching movies, I gave her Dora the explorer video games. She can watch and learn at the same time. For my second daughter, I chose to give her Dora the explorer cars and jeeps since she liked toys that moved. For my youngest, I gave her a Dora the explorer doll since she loved playing with and sleeping with all her dolls.

Children play up with their dolls in different ways. These days there are fashion dolls that come out to tickle the little girls’ creative imagination. There are dolls in their teens dressed up like rock stars or musical lead stars; there are young adults in their smart executive suit, and there are character dolls–a replica of their favorite young TV star.
These dolls inspire every child and help her unleash her talent as these fashion toys serve as her idols in terms of style, image and beauty. Fashion dolls often become collector’s items because in the future when their owners are grownups they get saved, preserved, treasured and secured in the display cabinet.

Different games for adults and children have to be carefully planned when played during family gatherings. These games have to be interesting and thrilling at the same time. Adults can play charades and word games. Kids can play “bring me” games, trip to Jerusalem, or board games like chess or monopoly.
Christian board games are good option as well. These board games have specific subjects and unfold stories as you play. Two or more players can play these games. They can play it inside the house or outdoor. It is really a fun way to pass the time. No wonder board games have been played since early times.

My brother has two boys, a five year old and a seven year old. I on the other hand have a one year old daughter. I wished my daughter had been born earlier so that she could play with her cousins. But now I realize she is lucky because all she will inherit are all her cousins’ toys. I have seen my nephews play with their toys. They have a lot of them; they have electronic toys, wooden toys, computer toys, and educational toys. The best so far are the Leapster games.
The Leapster games are educational and fun. It comes with a hand held console that works a little like computer games. There is a touch pad and a touch screen. It is very interactive. Kids can learn the alphabet and how to do simple mathematics by touching the screen or the touch pad. The Leapster games also come with so many choices, you can teach your kids animal sounds and how words are pronounced.

Everyday after reading the newspapers, my father normally answers the crossword puzzle. This hobby became a daily routine since he retired from work. He enjoys this pastime so much that we make it a point to leave the crossword puzzle for him to fill. Consequently, he looks forward to the delivery of the newspaper to check if he got all the answers right.
Just like her grandfather, my niece loves puzzles. Unlike my dad, she likes jigsaw puzzles the best. Among her favored ones are princesses’ puzzles, bible puzzles, action puzzles and other popular character puzzles. We encourage her in this hobby as puzzles are known to be brain teasers. In fact, puzzles help the mind to be more methodical.

Normally, television networks air children show in the morning. Some shows are produced for cognitive learning and development while others are purely for entertainment of its viewers. Children watching these shows are two to 12 year old. Popular kid’s shows have topics that touch on good table manners, proper behavior and other positive traits. Besides graphic illustration of ABCs and numbers, mascots, hand puppets, actors and artists that facilitate learning are also seen on these shows. To make the show interactive, projects like crafts and physical activities like jumping are also infused. To develop grace and social skills, dancing and singing are always present in these children shows.
However, parents are still encouraged to spend time tutoring their small children no matter how helpful these shows can be. The use of flash cards, educational posters, and introducing learning sessions in household chores greatly contributes in children’s early education. These learning sessions can be as simple as counting tomatoes or identifying colors of fruits.
